A 6 lesson series covering the 6 major world religions with powerpoints, booklet for students to complete corresponding to each lesson (1 hour). This also includes a knowledge organiser that can be set for homework. We teach it to Year 7 to introduce the topic but this can work at any stage in KS3.
KS3 topic for Christian beliefs - 7 lessons (1 hour) with corresponding booklet for students to complete in the lesson, a knowledge organiser that can be set for homework, and complete SOW. We teach this topic to Y7 but it can be adapted to any level at KS3.
1 hour lessons taught to Year 8 but can be scaled up or down for other KS3 classes. Looks at key Buddhist practices of individuals and communities, includes a knowledge organiser that can be set for homework. Each lesson has a booklet that can be completed by students in class.
2 lessons on one powerpoint, focusing on socially engaged Buddhism and how the work of socially engaged Buddhism can be examined in an exam context, and comparison between the ideas of Batchelor (that Buddhism is not a religion) and Brazier (that Buddhism is a religion) with wider reading and exam context. There is also a Knowledge Organiser for the whole AQA unit on Secularisation.

This unit of work was created as a RE unit for a nurture group of year 7s and 8s, however all students were working at a KS2 year 3/4 level and so this unit would also be appropriate for secondary teachers. Some existing TES resources have been adapted here to help suit this low ability - bundle includes presentations and worksheets for 6 85 minute lessons. The lessons use a "universal symbols" code to aid SEN understanding - these symbols are explained in a separate ppt.
